At Good Genes Genealogy Services (GGGS), we believe every family has a story worth discovering and preserving. Founded in Atlanta in 2021 by maternal cousins Mark Owen and Dr. Ann Lineve Wead Kimbrough, GGGS was created to help individuals and families—especially within the African American and Native American communities—trace their roots, overcome genealogical “brick walls,” and reclaim lost legacies.
With backgrounds in journalism, higher education, project management, public service, and human resources, our team brings both professional expertise and a deep personal passion for ancestry research. Together, we honor the endurance of our ancestors while empowering future generations to carry their history forward.
We are committed to preserving the unique stories of the Black diaspora, especially those whose family lines were fractured by history. Our mission is to provide access, knowledge, and community support so that no story is left untold.
