The Million Dollar Relief Fund

The Million Dollar Relief Fund, an initiative of the Black Owned Business Funding and Economy Building Network, is a community-driven campaign created to place resources directly into the hands of Black families and entrepreneurs.
Our goal is simple: raise $1 million once or twice each year and award 100 recipients with $10,000 each to invest in their future. These funds are not loans and require no repayment. Instead, they are intended to provide meaningful financial support that recipients can use to strengthen their families, businesses, and communities.

• Education and career training
• Paying down debt
• Purchasing reliable transportation
• Starting or expanding a business
• Homeownership or housing stability
• Child and family development
• Community improvement projects
• Emergency financial assistance
• Other investments that create long-term stability

Why It Matters
Access to capital has long been one of the greatest barriers facing many Black families and entrepreneurs. Limited access to investment, business financing, inherited wealth, and affordable credit has made it more difficult for many communities to build businesses, purchase property, create jobs, and accumulate wealth that can be passed from one generation to the next.
When families have access to resources, they gain greater flexibility to pursue education, reduce financial burdens, start businesses, purchase assets, and invest in opportunities that create lasting economic stability. Every dollar invested in a family has the potential to create ripple effects throughout neighborhoods by supporting local businesses, increasing employment, and strengthening community infrastructure.
The Million Dollar Relief Fund is designed to help create those opportunities.
